Project Overview

External repair and refurbishment of a four-storey building on a busy high street, with commercial units at ground floor — let to various tenants who remained open for business throughout — and residential flats above. Arden carried out specialist render repairs and restoration, licensed asbestos removal, and extensive roof and gutter repairs and replacement with lead replacement works. Timbercare repairs and full external redecoration of all previously painted surfaces were completed from a scaffold managed to keep the frontage safe and the building in use.

Approach / Key Challenges

The ground-floor units stayed open and trading and the flats above remained occupied throughout. The scaffold and programme were managed to keep the frontage safe and the building in use while the external repairs proceeded.
