Project Overview

Installation of a landlord’s and residents’ fire alarm system to an occupied residential property. The works comprised a bespoke wireless fire alarm system to the common parts areas, battery-powered heat and CO2 detectors to each premises, and integration of the new system with the existing lift. The building remained occupied throughout.

Works included:

• Design and installation of a bespoke wireless fire alarm system to the common parts areas

• Installation of battery-powered heat and CO2 detectors to each premises

• Electrical installation, repairs and testing

• Installation of a new fire panel housing

• Integration of the new fire alarm system with the existing lift

Approach / Key Challenges

The property remained occupied by residents throughout the works. The fire alarm system was designed and installed in phases to minimise disruption to residents, with electrical testing and commissioning coordinated around the existing lift installation.
