Project Overview

External refurbishment to two adjoining residential and commercial buildings, comprising masonry repair and cleaning in accordance with Stone Federation and English Heritage guidance, roofing renewal and window repairs.

Works included:

• Extensive masonry repairs in accordance with the Stone Federation and English Heritage guidance

• Doff cleaning to stonework and brickwork

• Decorations to all previously painted external surfaces

• Installation of a Liquid Plastic roofing system

• Roofing repairs

• Relocation of existing services on the roof

• Close coordination with tenants and residents of both buildings

• Designed scaffold

• Extensive pest control measures installed

• Lead repairs to dormer windows

• Window repairs using the Window Care system

Approach / Key Challenges

With both buildings occupied throughout, masonry cleaning and repair was carried out to Stone Federation and English Heritage standards, closely coordinated with tenants and residents while roofing, dormer and window repairs proceeded from a designed scaffold.
