Project Overview

Structural repair and rebuilding of the perimeter boundary wall to a former church building, on a self-contained site occupied by a language-school tenant. Arden excavated and installed new concrete pier foundations, repointed the full length of the wall, and constructed 15 new piers to prevent further leaning, all to the structural engineer’s specification and drawings. Electrical isolations and reinstatement, new copings and pier caps, jet-washing of the brickwork and protection to the existing surfaces and adjacent playground completed the works.

Works included:

  • Pier excavations and new concrete foundations

  • Full-length repointing of the wall

  • 15 no. new piers to prevent further leaning, to the structural engineer’s specification

  • Electrical isolations and reinstatement

  • New copings and pier caps

  • Protection to existing surfaces and the playground area
